AT&T’s current discount menu is less about a magic coupon code and more about qualifying for the right bucket: fiber sign-ups, wireless bundles, trade-ins, employer programs, professional discounts and senior plans. WIRED’s July 2026 commerce listing says the carrier is offering several ways to cut bills, though most of the larger savings require specific plans, proof of eligibility or new service.

WIRED describes AT&T as the third-largest wireless provider in the United States and says it ranks first for 5G, with the largest coverage map. The same listing notes that select AT&T plans include no roaming in Canada or Mexico. That is the carrier pitch in miniature: broad coverage, lots of plan complexity, and a bill that rewards anyone willing to read the fine print. Annoying, yes. Also standard operating procedure for big wireless.

Prepaid, fiber and phone deals

For prepaid customers, AT&T lists plans that include unlimited talk, text and data starting at $25 per month, according to WIRED. The prepaid lineup includes 5G plans and multi-month options. WIRED says all AT&T prepaid plans include AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security and can use an eSIM or physical SIM card priced as low as $0.99.

The home internet offers are more tangled. WIRED lists an AT&T Fiber deal for 1 gigabit service at $50 per month, described as a $40 monthly discount and up to $480 in annual savings. The same section says new 1 gig internet customers can receive a $200 reward card. Another fiber offer in WIRED’s roundup says first-time customers can get 1 gigabit service for $37 per month, framed as more than $600 in yearly savings. The two prices appear as separate promotions, so shoppers would need to check which one AT&T actually shows for their address.

On devices, WIRED says AT&T is offering the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra for $0 with an eligible trade-in. The catch is doing a lot of work: the trade-in can be in any condition, but WIRED says the required device must be a Galaxy S24+, Z Fold5 or newer. WIRED Reviews rated the Galaxy S26 Ultra 8 out of 10, citing its built-in privacy display, horizon lock for steadier video, performance, battery life and quad-camera system.

Existing customers get the bundle maze

WIRED says existing AT&T wireless or internet customers can save 20% each month by combining AT&T internet with unlimited wireless service. The offer applies to customers who have one of those services but not both, according to the listing.

AT&T is also offering up to $150 in AT&T Visa Reward Cards when customers sign up for AT&T Fiber and eligible wireless plans, WIRED says. Another bundle listed by WIRED promises more than $800 in annual wireless savings when four unlimited wireless lines are combined with eligible internet service. That calculation is based on a 20% discount on four voice lines plus a $10 monthly discount for eligible AutoPay and paperless billing, with the billing discount starting within two bills.

Professional, employer and senior discounts

  • WIRED says teachers, active military members, veterans, first responders and many medical professionals can receive 25% off eligible AT&T bills.
  • A separate AT&T military and veterans offer listed by WIRED says eligible members can save up to 20% on qualifying wireless plans after showing proof of eligibility.
  • Students and union members can save $10 per line per month, according to WIRED. Union members can also get 20% off accessories.
  • Select employees, students and authorized people tied to eligible companies, universities or sponsoring organizations can receive 20% per line on AT&T Premium 2.0, WIRED says. The credit is applied within three bill cycles after online validation or in-store proof such as a badge, paystub or student ID.
  • Family plans start at $36 per month per line for four lines, according to WIRED, with mix-and-match unlimited plan options.
  • For customers 55 and older, WIRED lists a bundle with two unlimited wireless lines and home internet for $99 per month. The wireless lines are $35 per month, while eligible AT&T Fiber or Internet Air service is $29 per month, with AT&T Internet Backup included.

AT&T also offers a 30-day wireless trial, according to WIRED, letting users keep their current phone number and service while testing AT&T’s network without a credit card. That is the least glamorous item in the pile, and possibly the most useful one, since coverage claims do not help much if the phone barely works where you live.
