NordVPN is running a stack of July 2026 subscription offers, according to WIRED, with the largest listed discount cutting some plans by up to 77%. For anyone buying a VPN, the practical bit is less glamorous than the coupon math: the cheapest advertised rates require longer commitments, and some perks come with conditions.

WIRED says NordVPN’s Complete plan is currently 75% off and includes three additional months at no charge when customers buy now. The listed price is $4.49 per month, or $121 for the first 27 months. WIRED says that tier includes the VPN service, monitoring for email, phone, credit card and national ID or SSN exposure, scam-call protection, anti-malware tools, browsing protection, ad blocking, a password manager, 1 TB of cloud storage and a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Another WIRED-listed offer gives 77% off the regular price, plus an Amazon gift card worth up to $50, for customers who sign up for a two-year Prime plan and use WIRED’s coupon code at checkout. WIRED says the offer applies to the first 15 months of the subscription and includes threat protection and high-speed VPN service.

Gift cards and longer plans

WIRED also lists a separate NordVPN promotion offering up to 74% off and an Amazon gift card. To qualify for that reward, customers must buy one of NordVPN’s two-year Plus, Complete or Prime plans, according to WIRED. The value of the gift card depends on the plan purchased.

The mechanics are not instant. WIRED says NordVPN sends claim instructions by email after purchase, and customers must remain subscribers for 31 days. The Amazon gift card is then mailed 31 to 50 days after purchase.

NordVPN’s pricing varies by term, according to WIRED. One-month plans start at $13. One-year plans range from $5 to $10 per month, depending on the package. Two-year plans are listed from $3 to $7 per month, with higher-priced tiers adding more bundled features. WIRED says select two-year plans starting with Plus include three free months, while two-year Prime subscriptions qualify for up to 77% off.

Other discounts and trial terms

WIRED says NordVPN offers a 15% discount code for students, graduates, teachers, health care workers, military members and first responders after verification through Student Beans.

NordVPN also has a referral offer, according to WIRED. Existing users receive three free months for each friend who buys through their referral link. Friends get three extra months on one-year or two-year plans, or one free month on a monthly plan.

WIRED describes NordVPN’s trial as a 30-day free trial, but the described process is a refund window: customers choose a plan, pay upfront, download the app, and can request their money back within 30 days of purchase. WIRED also says NordVPN offers a three-day Android trial.

On iPhone and iPad, WIRED says users install the NordVPN iOS app, sign in or create an account, connect to a VPN server and tap “Secure my connection.” WIRED says NordVPN’s Meshnet feature lets users connect devices directly in a secure local-area-network-style setup for file sharing, collaboration and multiplayer gaming. WIRED also points business users to NordLayer, NordVPN’s business VPN service, which it says has a 14-day money-back guarantee.
