Mattress Firm shoppers have several discount routes available, according to a WIRED coupon roundup, though the useful part is in the fine print rather than the cheerful coupon-page confetti.
The retailer sells mattresses from established brands including Serta and Sealy, along with online-first names such as Purple, WIRED reported. The current offers described by WIRED cover email signup discounts, verified status discounts, instant credits tied to adjustable bases, and clearance pricing.
WIRED says its editors independently select featured products, but the publication may receive compensation from retailers or from purchases made through its links. That is the normal affiliate-commerce machinery, and shoppers should treat the listed deals as prompts to verify terms at checkout, not as a notarized guarantee of the final cart price.
Email signup discount
Mattress Firm is offering 15 percent off a first order to customers who sign up for email notifications, according to WIRED. The code has limits: WIRED says it cannot be combined with other coupons and does not apply to certain brands and models.
The excluded names listed by WIRED include Nectar, Purple, Sealy Hybrid, Tempur-Pedic, Stearns & Foster, and Serta iComfort. In other words, the email coupon may be real, but it is not a universal 15 percent machete for every high-ticket mattress in the store.
Credits for adjustable bases
WIRED also lists three brand-specific codes that provide instant credits when shoppers buy qualifying mattresses and pair them with eligible adjustable bases.
For qualifying Tempur-Pedic mattress purchases, code TEMPURGIFT provides a $300 instant credit toward certain adjustable bases, according to WIRED. Eligible bases listed include Tempur-Ergo, Tempur-Ergo Smart Base, Tempur-Ergo ProSmart Base, Tempur-Ergo ProSmart Air Base, and the Sealy Ease Base.
For qualifying Stearns & Foster mattress purchases, code STEARNSGIFT provides a $300 credit toward the same listed adjustable bases, WIRED reported.
For select Sealy purchases, code SEALYGIFT provides a $200 instant credit on select Sealy and Tempur-Pedic adjustable bases, according to WIRED.
Verified status discounts
Mattress Firm also offers 20 percent off select purchases for several verified groups, WIRED reported. The categories listed are first responders and health care workers, military members, students, and teachers.
WIRED says each of those discounts is issued as a one-time-use code. The offer can be renewed every 90 days after the customer re-verifies their status, according to the roundup.
Clearance pricing
Clearance remains the least elegant but often most useful discount mechanism: the retailer marks down inventory, and shoppers decide whether the available sizes and models match what they actually need.
WIRED points to Mattress Firm’s clearance section, citing examples such as nearly 40 percent off a DreamCloud PressureSmart Technology Firm Mattress and more than 60 percent off a Sealy Frisco 2.0 Firm Mattress. As with any mattress sale, the operative details are model, size, delivery terms, return policy, and whether the discount survives all the way to checkout.
