The Remarkable Paper Pro refurbished bundle is down to $449.99 at Woot through July 31, according to the retailer. The package includes the 11.8-inch tablet, a Marker Plus stylus, and a Book Folio cover.
That is the useful part of the deal, because Remarkable normally sells the Paper Pro tablet alone for $629. Buying the tablet, stylus, and folio new would cost $818, making Woot’s refurb bundle $368 less than the new-bundle price. Remarkable also sells a refurbished version of the same bundle for $649, according to its own store.
The catch is the warranty. Woot’s listing includes a 90-day warranty, while Remarkable’s refurbished bundle comes with a one-year warranty. That is the trade: a lower upfront price from Woot, or more warranty coverage from Remarkable.
Is the Remarkable Paper Pro refurbished bundle worth it?
For people who want a focused writing and document-markup device, the Woot bundle is the cheaper route into Remarkable’s higher-end tablet hardware. For buyers who care more about longer coverage on a refurbished device, Remarkable’s own refurb listing is pricier but less stingy on warranty length.
The Paper Pro is Remarkable’s color digital notebook, built around an 11.8-inch display meant for reading, handwriting, and annotation rather than app-hopping. Unlike the newer monochrome Remarkable Paper Pure, which sells for $399, the Paper Pro has an adjustable front light, so it is more usable in dim rooms or at night.
The tablet also works with Remarkable’s $229 Type Folio keyboard, though that accessory is not included in Woot’s bundle. With it, users can switch between handwriting and typing. Without it, the package still covers the tablet’s main use case: stylus input with the included Marker Plus.
Remarkable’s software supports folders and tags for notebook organization, PDF annotation, and conversion of handwritten notes into typed text. The Paper Pro also has basic drawing tools such as layers and shading, though The Verge’s assessment is that an iPad Pro is the stronger choice for people who are serious about illustration.
The color screen is pitched less as an art panel and more as a productivity tool: marking up reports, reviewing slide decks, editing text, and keeping notes color-coded without turning the device into a general-purpose tablet. That restraint is the whole Remarkable bet, and also why the price matters. At $449.99 with the stylus and folio included, the refurb bundle is much easier to justify than the full new-package price.
