Apple’s Apple TV price increase 2026 takes the streaming service to $14.99 a month, up from $12.99, according to reporting by 9to5Mac and AppleInsider. The company also lifted the Apple One Individual bundle by $2 a month. New subscribers face the new rates immediately, while existing customers are expected to get roughly a month’s notice before a higher charge lands.

Apple did not provide a reason for this August round of changes in the reports. That distinction matters: Apple cited rising licensing costs when it raised Apple Music prices in July, but the available reporting does not attach that explanation to Apple TV or Apple One Individual.

What are the new Apple TV and Apple One prices?

  • Apple TV monthly: $14.99, previously $12.99.
  • Apple TV annual: $119, previously $99.
  • Apple One Individual: $21.95 per month, previously $19.95.

The monthly Apple TV increase is $2, while its annual plan is $20 more. Apple One Individual also rises by $2 a month. The annual Apple TV plan therefore costs the equivalent of about 7.9 monthly payments, though subscribers will need to decide whether paying upfront fits how they use the service.

9to5Mac reported on Aug. 28 that Apple confirmed the pricing changes. AppleInsider separately reported the same Apple TV monthly and annual prices and the Apple One Individual increase.

When will existing subscribers pay the higher rate?

According to 9to5Mac, people signing up after the change takes effect pay the new price immediately. Existing Apple TV and Apple One Individual subscribers will be notified about a month before Apple bills them at the new rate. The reporting does not specify a single conversion date for every current subscriber, so the relevant date will depend on the notice tied to an account.

Which Apple One plans changed in July and August?

Apple has split its 2026 bundle increases across two rounds. In July, it raised Apple One Family to $27.95 from $25.95 and Apple One Premier to $39.95 from $37.95, while leaving Individual at $19.95. It also raised Apple Music prices that month.

This August change catches up the Individual tier, taking it to $21.95. The Family and Premier tiers were unchanged in this round, according to 9to5Mac. In practical terms, all three Apple One tiers have now had a price change during 2026, just not on the same date.

Apple TV last increased its monthly price in August 2025, when it went from $9.99 to $12.99, 9to5Mac reported. Apple did not then raise the annual Apple TV plan or Apple One bundles. This time, the yearly option is included too.

This story draws on original reporting from 9to5Mac.
