That makes the discount notable for buyers looking at OLED gaming displays, a category that has been getting less painful at the checkout while other PC parts have not been so cooperative. The deal is listed as limited-time, so the usual caveat applies: Amazon pricing can move without asking anyone’s permission.
Amazon’s listing for the LG UltraGear OLED 27GX700A-B shows a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution, a 280Hz refresh rate, Nvidia G-Sync support and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support. Those variable refresh-rate systems sync the monitor’s refresh behavior with the graphics card, which is meant to cut tearing and stutter when frame rates fluctuate.
Is the LG 27GX700A-B deal worth considering?
On paper, this is a high-refresh 1440p OLED panel at a price more often associated with less exotic gaming monitors. The main draw is the combination of 27-inch size, OLED contrast and a 280Hz refresh rate, which targets players who want fast motion without giving up the black levels OLED panels are known for.
