The deal matters for PC builders because DDR5 pricing has made even sensible midrange parts feel weirdly luxurious. Newegg’s combo does not solve that market problem, but it lowers the buy-in for an AM5 gaming build by bundling the CPU, motherboard, memory and cooler into one checkout.
Is the Ryzen 7 7700X3D bundle a good deal?
On the parts list, yes, with one obvious caveat: the included memory is a single 16GB DDR5-6000 stick. That means the system starts in single-channel memory mode, which can leave performance on the table compared with a matched two-stick kit.
The upside is upgrade room. The G.Skill module listed with the bundle has 36-36-36-76 timings, a black aluminum heat spreader, addressable RGB lighting, and support for AMD EXPO and Intel XMP 3.0. The motherboard is less barebones than the bundle price might suggest. MSI’s Pro X870-P Wi-Fi board supports up to 256GB of DDR5 across four DIMM slots, includes Wi-Fi 7, supports PCIe 5.0 and PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD storage, and has 5G LAN, according to the deal description.
The bundled Cooler Master Elite Liquid 240 is a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler. The listing frames it as a free add-on, and the deal write-up values that cooler at another $80 in savings. Availability and pricing on retailer combo deals can change quickly, so the $587.99 price is the number to verify before building a cart around it.
