Apple AirPods deals have pushed the company’s newest earbuds and over-ear headphones below list price, according to WIRED. The AirPods Pro 3 are listed at $200, down from $249, while the AirPods Max 2 are listed at $449, down from $549.

WIRED reported that the AirPods Pro 3 discount is available at Amazon, Target, and Walmart. Its pricing table also showed Apple selling the same earbuds at $249 and Best Buy at $250. For the AirPods Max 2, WIRED listed $449 pricing at Amazon and Walmart, with Apple’s own store at $549.

The discounts are not trivial, especially in Apple audio math, where “sale” often means a retailer found a few dollars under the couch. The AirPods Pro 3 deal is a 20 percent cut, or $49 off the regular price. The AirPods Max 2 deal is an 18 percent cut, or $100 off.

How much are the AirPods Pro 3 and AirPods Max 2 deals?

The AirPods Pro 3 are currently $200, according to WIRED, compared with a $249 Apple price. The AirPods Max 2 are currently $449 at Amazon and Walmart, compared with a $549 Apple price.

WIRED said it was unclear how long the retailer discounts would remain available. That uncertainty is standard retail deal fog, not a technical feature. Prices can change without much ceremony, and WIRED’s post framed the offers as limited-time deals.

What do the AirPods Pro 3 add?

WIRED described the AirPods Pro 3 as Apple’s strongest AirPods so far. The reported upgrades include better noise cancellation, a revised acoustic design intended to produce deeper bass, and redesigned ear tips meant to fit more securely.

The earbuds also add a heart-rate sensor for fitness tracking, live translation, and a camera remote feature for taking iPhone photos or videos, according to WIRED. They are also the first AirPods with an IP57 rating for resistance to dust, sweat, and rain.

What do the AirPods Max 2 add?

The AirPods Max 2 use Apple’s newer H2 chip, which WIRED said improves active noise cancellation and transparency mode. The chip also supports conversation awareness, live translation, and improved Siri interactions.

WIRED also cited a new high dynamic range amplifier in the AirPods Max 2, with the claimed audio changes including deeper bass, more natural vocals, and cleaner high frequencies. At full price, WIRED said the $549 headphones are harder to defend because cheaper noise-canceling rivals exist, but the $100 cut changes the value argument for buyers already tied into Apple’s ecosystem.

WIRED disclosed that its product picks are selected independently by its editors, while also noting that it may receive compensation from retailers or purchases made through its links.
