Apple’s AirPods Max 2 are selling for $449.99 at Amazon and Best Buy, according to the retailers’ listings. That is $100 below their usual price and applies across every color.
The discount lands during Best Buy’s Black Friday in July sale, which the company says runs all week. The timing usually tracks closely with Amazon’s Prime Day, though this year Amazon’s sale arrived earlier than expected.
This is only the second reported discount for the AirPods Max 2. During Prime Day, they dropped to $399.99, so the current price is not the floor. For people who skipped that sale or missed it, $449.99 is still the best widely listed price currently cited by Amazon and Best Buy.
The Verge’s review described the AirPods Max 2 as a strong follow-up with limited ambition. The visible design is largely familiar. The changes sit inside the headphones, which matters more if you are still using the original Lightning-equipped model.
According to the review, the AirPods Max 2 include USB-C connectivity, as did the 2024 revision, plus a built-in amplifier. They also use Apple’s H2 wireless chip, which supports features including live translation, adaptive audio and conversation awareness. In plain terms, Apple did not reinvent the cans; it replaced enough of the guts to make the upgrade case less silly for some existing owners.

Victoria Song’s review for The Verge cited a louder alarm and longer range as the main improvements over the first AirTag, which could help when a tagged item is separated by several floors.
Kodak’s Charmera keychain digital camera is $33.49 at Best Buy for the day, down from $49.99. The camera has a flash and a screen, and each unit ships in a blind box, so buyers do not know which design they are getting until it is opened. The pitch here is novelty, not image quality.
