Rockstar Games has scheduled GTA VI Extended Look, its next official presentation for Grand Theft Auto VI, for August 27. It will premiere on Netflix at 3 p.m. ET, then arrive six hours later, at 9 p.m. ET, on Rockstar’s YouTube channel and the game’s official site. Rockstar has not described what the presentation will contain, how long it will run, or called the earlier Netflix debut exclusive. Rockstar’s announcement was published August 6.
The company says the game is due November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It directs buyers to the GTA VI website for pre-orders. Those are the only launch platforms Rockstar names in the supplied announcement, so a PC edition remains unconfirmed by that statement.

On May 2, 2025, it moved the planned release to May 26, 2026; Trailer 2 followed four days later. Rockstar then shifted the launch again, setting the current November 19, 2026 date in a November 6, 2025 post. Pre-order announcements followed on June 18 and June 24, 2026, before the Extended Look announcement on August 6.
Separately, The Verge reported that the official material centers on Jason and Lucia in Vice City, where a job gone wrong draws them into a criminal conspiracy. That description is reporting on earlier promotional material, not new detail from Rockstar’s August announcement.
Leaks are not confirmation
The Verge also reported recent posts claiming to show GTA VI material ahead of the August presentation. Their contents have not been independently authenticated in the evidence available here, and Rockstar’s announcement does not address them. Treat purported gameplay clips, feature claims, presentation length, multiplayer claims, and platform rumors accordingly.
