Woot is selling JBL’s Flip 7 Bluetooth speaker for $89.95 through July 17, a $70 cut from its $149.99 list price. The retailer’s listing includes a 90-day warranty and offers the speaker in multiple colors.
That puts the Flip 7 at about 40 percent off, which is the relevant bit for anyone looking for a small speaker that can take some abuse without turning into e-waste after one poolside mistake. Woot says the deal is for a new unit, and the sale price marks a new low for the model.
The Flip 7 is roughly water-bottle sized, but JBL rates it for IP68 dust and water resistance. JBL also says the speaker can survive drops from as high as one meter onto concrete, which is a useful claim for a portable speaker because portable speakers tend to meet patios, backpacks and bad decisions.
JBL includes two carrying options: a swappable strap and a carabiner attachment. The speaker is rated for up to 14 hours of battery life, according to JBL, and its Playtime Boost mode can add another two hours when enabled.
On the audio side, the Flip 7 can link with multiple compatible JBL speakers for a larger setup. JBL also advertises an AI Sound Boost feature that is meant to cut distortion when the volume is pushed higher. For users with the right hardware and services, the speaker supports lossless playback over USB-C, which can deliver cleaner audio than a standard Bluetooth stream.
