iRobot buyers have a new batch of Roomba discounts to sift through, according to WIRED, including several direct price cuts on robot vacuum and mop models and a smaller set of promo-code-style offers. The useful bit for shoppers is the math: some of the better-known Roomba models are listed with hundreds of dollars off, while accessories get tiered bundle discounts.
WIRED says its editors independently choose featured products, though the publication may receive compensation from retailers or from purchases made through its links. Translation: the deals may be real, but this is still affiliate commerce, not a lab coat descending from the sky.
The biggest listed cut is for the Roomba Max 705 Combo robot with AutoWash dock. WIRED says that model is usually priced at $1,300 and is being sold for $800, a $500 reduction. The model is described as pairing a robot vacuum and mop with a dock, a self-cleaning roller mop, edge-cleaning features and dual rubber brushes designed to reduce hair tangles.
Another Max 705 deal applies to the Roomba Max 705 vacuum robot with AutoEmpty dock. WIRED reviewer Nena Farrell says the model has dual anti-tangle brushes, strong navigation and a self-emptying base station. WIRED lists it at 33 percent off and says Farrell has been testing the Roomba Max 705 for the publication’s robot vacuum guide.
Other Roomba cuts
WIRED also lists $300 off the Roomba Plus 405 Combo Robot with AutoWash dock. That model is described as a lower-cost option that can vacuum and mop and includes an auto-emptying docking station.
The Roomba 205 DustCompactor Combo Robot Vacuum and Mop is listed with a nearly $300 discount. WIRED says the 205 skips the large emptying base and instead compacts and stores debris inside the robot for up to 60 days. It is also described as bagless, which means buyers do not need replacement bags for normal use.
For Father’s Day, WIRED says iRobot is offering up to $400 off bestselling Roomba robot vacuums, including models such as the Roomba Plus 505 Combo and Roomba Max 705. WIRED frames that offer as time-limited around the holiday.
Promo codes and accessory discounts
- WIRED says shoppers can get 10 percent off a first iRobot purchase by signing up for iRobot’s email list.
- A referral offer gives a friend 15 percent off a robot vacuum and gives the referrer $15 off iRobot accessories, according to WIRED.
- iRobot accessory bundles are listed with tiered savings: buy two eligible accessories for 10 percent off, three for 15 percent off, or four for 20 percent off.
WIRED says those accessory offers cover eligible items such as filters, dirt disposal bags and replacement parts. As with most robot vacuums, the sticker price is only part of the ownership cost; the little plastic and paper bits keep showing up on the bill.
