Xiaomi has introduced the SkyNomad N90 Max SUV, calling it the company’s first extended-range electric vehicle and claiming more than 1,705 kilometers, or about 1,059 miles, of range. The pitch is less “car as transport” and more “car as room with wheels,” which is where things get both useful and faintly brochure-scented.
The N90 Max will be offered in five-seat and seven-seat versions, Xiaomi says. A separate N90 Max Camping Edition adds hardware aimed at sleeping and outdoor use rather than just hauling people to a campsite and pretending that counts as adventure engineering.
The cabin is the main trick. Xiaomi says the front seats can turn 180 degrees, letting the first row face the rest of the vehicle when parked. The center armrest can extend into a small table, and the second row gets what Xiaomi describes as zero-gravity seats with footrests.
Some versions will also include a refrigerator and overhead speakers, according to Xiaomi. Those are minor details on a spec sheet, but they are the sort of details that make the company’s “living space” angle make sense, assuming buyers actually use the thing for more than school runs and mall parking lots.

The SkyNomad N90 Max is an electric SUV from Xiaomi built around an extended-range platform, with seating for either five or seven people. Xiaomi is positioning it as a flexible cabin for work, lounging, family use and camping, rather than a conventional SUV interior with a few fold-flat seats.
The Camping Edition goes further. Xiaomi says that model includes a pop-up roof, a roof-mounted bed platform, an attachment point for a tent and a detachable table. Images shared by the company show the N90 Max configured for sleeping, card games, laptop use, bicycle storage and beach-side lounging.
Xiaomi’s own framing is conspicuously domestic. The company says the N90 Max can operate as a solo studio, a two-person cafe, a three-person lounge or a family play area. Strip away the marketing varnish and the mechanical point is straightforward: rotate the seats, deploy the table, add footrests or camping fittings, and the vehicle becomes a parked interior module.
The company also unveiled two smaller models, the SkyNomad N70 and N70 Max. Both seat five people and use the same extended-range technology platform, according to Xiaomi. The company did not provide the same cabin details for the N70 models in the available announcement.
Xiaomi’s range claim needs the usual EV caveat. Automakers’ stated range figures depend on test cycles, configuration and conditions, and Xiaomi’s quoted 1,705-kilometer figure is a company claim, not an independent road-test result. Still, if the N90 Max gets anywhere near that number in customer use, it would make the vehicle’s camper pitch more credible: a movable room is much more useful when drivers are not planning every stop around a charger.
No pricing, market availability or delivery timing was specified in the information Xiaomi shared. For now, the confirmed story is the product shape: a large extended-range SUV, a cabin designed to rearrange itself, and a camping variant that tries to turn the usual “SUV lifestyle” cosplay into actual hardware.
